I always recommend the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America for breeder referrals, the YTCA is the mother club for yorkies and sets the standard. The breeders are some of the most ethical that you will find. Here are some of the ones in CT. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America About The Club. Call or email them, and be willing to be placed on a waiting list.

These breeders usually have high standards on where there dogs go, and are more interested in placing a dog in a home than selling a pup, but if you can pass their tests, you can find a great dog, at a great price. Be sure and tell them your yorkie lived for 16 years, that's a great reference!
