i got Gatsby at 8 weeks and he was fine i also crate trained him next to my bed so i could be close and he still understood he had to potty on the paper even when he slept in the bed it also helped me know that when the crying stopped he was sleeping peacefully(might not suggest if you are a light sleeper or have to be up early)
