I called my vet and checked which brand she uses and I then called shelters to see which ones they use. Then read and do your research which one you think is more convenient for you and your furbutt. I am going to have Sophie chipped before our vacation out east in a couple of weeks and I had no idea that all micro chipped animals were not scanned in the same manner. Does this mean that if your dog was lost, then found by someone and scanned that the scanner may not pick up the ID on all chips?
