I'm hoping this legislation will trickle down into the smaller cities where this is a huge problem. I'm about 2 hrs southwest of Nashville in western TN and we see this all the time. Granted, yes, my family has gotten free puppies that are mutts from the side of the road, but we figured they were safer with us than there so we took them home and never had a problem with them. But now I don't approve of it for any dog even if the dogs are free. The other day I saw a truck selling Yorkies and shih-tzus on the side of the road here in my town and I was appalled! I almost called my husband and asked if I could stop and get one to save it! |
