Remy gets into deer poop at my parents house. He will roll in it and has been busted eating it. He did have a bout of parasites over the summer after being up there and while I can not directly attribute it to the deer poop, I think its likely. So, I would not doubt that they could get sick from it. My parents actually go around the yard and clean it up, pile by pile, no small task as its well over an acre and not fenced. It seems like its everywhere. Other than that I no longer let him off leash so I can more closely watch him.
