Congratulations on the pretty babies!
I am wondering do the gold yorkies occur the same way that for example a yellow lab occurs? The "ee" gene masks dark hairs on the body, so in labradors a yellow lab with a black nose is actually a black labrador with the "ee" gene that masks all black hairs so it makes them that yellow color. I am a longhaired Dachshund breeder/exhibitor (but I love yorkies!) and in our breed we have clear reds "ee" reds and also clear creams "ee" creams, gold yorkies made me curious that maybe the "ee" gene is why they occur. So the puppies may be genetically black/gold for example, but they got an "e" gene from each parent (it's recessive) and it masks the black hairs making them look gold.
Don't mind my blabbing, lol I really am curious about what gene causes them to produce golds.
