No I don't think it's rude, but I'm not sure experience is the best indicator if they will listen to you or not, they may just believe that they know more than you do about how your dog should look. Most groomers want repeat business, a dog gets easier as the groomer gets to know him. I would tell her that I'm looking for a new groomer because my old groomer didn't listen. I would take pictures of cuts I liked, a close up of the face, and leave special instructions such as, "DON'T CUT THE TOPKNOT, or DON'T SHAVE THE BRIDGE OF THE NOSE!". Leaving pictures and a few notes can be very helpful. If you are not happy with the cut, tell her why, and if she also doesn't listen, find someone else.
