Sentinel is used in the prevention, control, and treatment of various worm infections, including hookworms. My guess is that your dog may be suffering from an iron deficiency due to the hookworm infestation. Sentinel, doesn't contain iron, but I would ask my vet if it were possible that your dog has anemia, and ask about supplements or injections. I just don't believe that what your dogs is doing falls in the normal range. There's a fairly simple blood test that would show if your dog is anemic. |
