One dog didn't even lift his leg up to pee until he met Joey, and he was over 4, and had been neutered the first year. The second dog, was neutered very young, the breeder had him neutered, and didn't start marking until he met Joey. Lol, it's Joey's fault! Seriously, I've had male dogs all my life, and they never marked inside, but I never had other male dogs over to my house for visits. Being around other male dogs, and sometimes females is what gets the inside marking going. The hormone testosterone is involved with marking behavior, and while the testes make the bulk of testosterone, the adrenal glands make some as well, and that is why some females are known to mark.
