Did you switch gradually or was it a sudden switch. I used the same two foods and had no problems switching, but I went very slow. A rule of thumb is to use 1/4 of the new food to 3/4 of the old, the first day. If there is no sign of intestinal distress, you can increase the food to 1/2 and 1/2, for several days, and finally 3/4 new food and 1/4 old, and you can continue to do that until the old food is gone. The problem most people have is that they buy new food, when the old food is almost gone, and make the switch too rapidly. Dogs, intestines are very different than humans, diet changes are very stressful on most dogs, and then people assume it's the food, and keep switching and switching, and that's really tough on the dog.
