I think I would keep him on the prescription i/d diet for a few days more, when you switch to another food go very slowly, no more than ¼ the new with ¾ the old. If any vomiting or diarrhea occurs, cut back on new food. Dogs don't like to change diets, and often get diarrhea and vomiting if a change is made.

Just want to add, are you giving him any food besides the dog food, how about treats? Sometimes, houseguests or kids gave a human treat, and this can upset a puppy's digestive track. Also, make sure that he can't get into any trashcans.

Just read about the tapeworms, I wonder if that could be the problem again?
