Cosequin is wonderful. My Lady had to be on steriods for a couple of years with crippling arthritis. I was also using Glycoflex, but it wasn't helping that much. When she got Cushings from the steroids I had to stop them. I switched to Cosequin and the results have been amazing. At age 8 I had to walk her in a sling sometimes her arthritis was so bad. At age 14 she is pretty spry and pain free!
Using Cosequin in dogs with grade 1 LP's sure can't hurt.
I hope the OP has her Yorkie's knees evaluated by her vet, though, instead of just diagnosing him herself. I do get concerned that Cosequin is recommended here for LP's so frequently. I just hope that people understand it can't fix a structural problem and is not a substitute for your vet's treatment recommendation.
