When we first got our Yorkie, my girlfriend thought it would be cruel to lock him up in a crate so we didn't crate train him. In an effort to try and deal with his separation anxiety (we've tried ignoring him before leaving/when we come back, playing with him to try and tire him out before we leave, using a citronella collar), I thought maybe crate training might help or at least make him a little more obedient. Would this be a good idea?

Also, does anybody have any recommendations for good crates?
