She is almost to the point of obsession. She will hold it in her mouth and just look at you and whine.
If she can't find it she roams the house room to room looking for it. I also noticed when she goes to eat she will bury it in a blanket in the corner of the couch and then go back to it when she is done. She has never been spayed. Never had puppies. Anyone experienced this or suggestions on what to help her. I am thinking it maybe something maternal, but even when she has been in heat we have never experienced this. |
Pixie is doing the same thing with a plush duck toy made by kong. I have a picture of it with it in her mouth in her album. I am curious what this is. She has to have it in bed with her every night and when she gets up in the morning she goes back in her crate and gets this darn duck. Pixie doesn't whine, but she does carry it with her a lot and when daisy goes to play with it she doesn't like sharing that. Sometimes she will hide it under a blanket or in one of her many dog beds. She also carries around a fleece bone that she got with her napsack from chattiesmom here on YT. I never really thought it meant anything except that she liked the toy. hm Pixie is 5.5 months old. I told my husband I better get a back up with this toy. lol
Maybe it is just a favorite toy, go buy a couple more of the same toy and see what she does. That is what I am going to try.
good luck
