| I have a 12 week old babygirl, Miss Ivy, and the breeder sent us home with a bag of Eukanuba. I had read article after article about the best food for Yorkies before we got Ivy, since we lost our first dog, a Yorkie-poo, to diabetes. We basically fed Daisy national-brand foods and treats, and I am positive her health suffered because of it; I didn't want to make that same mistake with Ivy. I decided to switch Ivy to Royal Canin Babydog once we brought her home, because everything I had read pointed to their foods being top-quality. Well, the day we brought her home, I put a few of the kibbles in her bowl along with the Eukanuba; she picked out the Royal Canin and left the other food sitting! She wouldn't touch the Eukanuba no matter what we did to tempt her to eat, and I worried about her developing hypoglycemia (as she was only 8 wks) so I ended up giving her more of the RC that evening. She hasn't looked back since! She LOVES the RC and will even eat it over the all-natural liver training treats and peanut butter crunchy treats! And the best part - she doesn't have "puppy breath" that goes along with national-brand foods. I definitely recommend Royal Canin dry kibble (and so does Ivy!). |
