Joey had grade one, I was told this by his vet and by his very good breeder who suggested I put him on supplements. After 5 months of supplements, vet said that he couldn't see any evidence of LP. In other words, I guess there was no evidence of slippage on that day. I'm continuing to give him the supplements. Ladymom's correct, surgery is needed for the higher grades, because it is a structural problem, however, it may also help the lower grades from getting any worse.
