I don't think a ten week old puppy is going to be able to hold it all night. If he's peeing in his crate, he's pretty much telling you he can't. My understanding is that once they are okay with peeing in their crate, you have to re-teach them not to. Have you cleaned his crate with an enzyme cleaner as well?

I really think you're going to have to get up at least once during the night to take him out / to his pad. He should not have a chance to soil it. Or get him an xpen.

Also, you have to watch him like a hawk if he's peeing on your carpet. Every time he does without getting caught, he's learning it's okay to go inside. I remember with Thor, I had to spend about two weeks pretty much doing nothing but watching him. Even ONE eye was not enough. Once I was on YT, complaining about how bad he was doing, and I realized that he'd peed right in front of me! Basically, if you can't watch him, he has to be in a crate/xpen.
