Neither would be effective. The ingredient that works is praziquantel. The funny thing is, the tapeworm products you mentioned aren't effective against the tapeworm dogs typically get from fleas, though they give you that idea.

Edited to add: fenbendazole is typically the ingredient in most tapeworm products commonly found but is not considered effective for tapeworm caused by fleas.
