Thank you for all the nice comments. We are very proud of Bailey. How we taught him? We'll first we house broke him by using the kennel method. Once we knew he was comfortable with going to the door, so we can let him out we starting adding an extra step by raising his paw, saying the words "ring the bell" and touching the bells. Eventually Bailey picked up that ringing the bells means he can go outside, so one day I just heard the bells and let him out (with TONS of praise) Now he does it all the time on his own. He knows what it means and will do it anytime you tell him to.
Awesome little guy.
