| How sad... Hubby and I took the kids to the dog park yesterday. It was the place to be! There were so many dogs there - it was crazy! Each and every one was adorable (in our eyes) but the sad thing was... it was so hard to tell what breed they were. Most of them looked so distorted. Normal heads, long bodies and short legs. Small heads, big bodies and long legs. There were 2 from the same litter that looked exactly alike except that one was half as tall as the other one. I felt so bad for them. The short one will definitely have hip problems in the future. A few others were part beagle but had such a huge body - I'm not sure what they there mixed with- maybe a pitbull. There was a beautiful Husky mix - unfortunately it was bred with a breed that had a very slender build. Then some black dogs that I assumed were part Lab - but their bodies were like a greyhound's. A few looked like pugs with huge bodies! A Boston Terrier and a Maltese that looked like they were on stilts! The only dogs I recognized were the German Shepards, Doberman, Boxers and a Yellow Lab. I didn't recognize one little dog. I really felt sad. I know some of those dogs are going to have medical problems that are a direct result from their breeding. I really wish people would stop mixing these babies like a cocktail.
