My only male dog, a Schnauzer, had only very positive personality changes when he was neutered. He became an even sweeter boy than before, and stayed closer to home rather than trying to run off. He was still as friendly, energetic and playful. I only wish I had done it sooner, as I waited until he was a couple years old.

This is a perfect time to remove baby teeth, and is the time most people do it (during spay or neuter). I have 2 females soon due for spay that will each have a couple teeth removed at that time.

Your dogs weight is determined by his genes, food and exercise, not by neutering.
