Default Peeing On My Bed - Advice Please!!

I haven't posted in a while. As some of you know, I have a yorkie named Canyon - he'll be 2 years old in April. He has slept on the bed with me since day one, the first 6 months in his crate on the bed with me and then I let him start sleeping on the bed. No problems, if he needs to go potty in the night, he whimpers, I let him down, he goes to pad and comes back to bed. I recently bought a house in October, now Canyon has a big back yard and loves being out there and has now learned that the yard is where he goes potty - YIPPEE!!!

I thought now with all the room, it was time to get him a companion. I bought a 9 week old male Shih Tzu and the first week he slept in the crate on the bed with Canyon and I. No problems the first week, though I did notice the towel in his crate was wet in the mornings, obviously peeing on the towel in the crate. After one week - he would whine, scream loudly and cry to get out of the crate I tried the tapping on the top and telling him hush/quiet. I even put him in my master bath with crate door open, bath door closed with potty pad in there, etc...he spent 30 mins screaming and scratching the bath door. I surrendered (I Know) and put him on the bed, awwww peace for once.

I thought everything was going great, he's going potty outside (well he always poops outside) but he will tinkle here and there on the carpet if I don't catch him in time and at 9 weeks, he pees alot. ANYWAY, my problem is, I noticed yesterday these big yellow pee stains on my comforter so apparently he is peeing all over my bed at night while I sleep. The stains are at the foot of the bed, on the side I lay on. Why is he doing this, how do I stop him.

I've been washing bedding all day. tonight, we'll try the crate again on the bed, if that doesn't work then I'll have to move him downstairs to his big xpen.

Why does a dog pee on a humans bed?

I know I need to limit his water intake in the evening with frequent outings, ok, I can do that. I will have him checked to ensure he has no UTI but I wonder if he's trying to establish some kind of dominance over Canyon and I?

Can someone help???
