I had to move from a house to an apartment after my husband died and was pretty freaked about it.
My stipulations were - GROUND floor - fenced in patio ....and close to work so I didn't have to commute and be gone long hours. I had to wait for 1-1/2months to move into the apt I'm in but it has just what I needed.
My girls are older so I can trust them in the house alone - meaning they don't have to be confined but I did find having a fenced in patio is a huge plus.
I have outdoor carpet out there and can just open my back door and they're able to use it... plus I have a pad in the house.
I walk them everyday after work so they do get to be 'out' but it's not the same as having a yard. I know they miss running around and when you're in an apartment they can't run free ......That was the hardest part getting used to being in an apartment - no yard. |
