When my girl went down after the pups were a week old, and finally diagnosed an infection, they put her on heavy antibiotics to combat it. They were administered via IV for about 4 days and then by mouth for a month. This finally got her uterus to empty the poisons and reduce to normal size. At that point we began hand raising the pups because of the antibiotics. Which could have caused fadding puppy syndrome, such as you're experiencing now. A suggestion, in the breeder section there is fadding puppy recipe. And you might want to take the other 2 puppies in for Lactose Ringer (sub-Q).

If you have your girl spayed within the next few days, make sure they do a coagulation test....just to make sure her blood is coagulating properly.....just based on what happened with my girl. They did this test, when I requested them to spay her on day 4 of her illness....if they had gone ahead with the surgery without the test, she'd have bleed to death on the table.
Mary, I am going to write out what you told me/asked me and I am going to run it all by the vet tomorrow. We will take the other two babies in the morning like you suggested. I will look for the recipe that you were talking about.

I am heartbroken, confused, scared, depressed, tired, overwhelmed.....

Thank you again!
