Its very cute, but not really practical for bell training to tell me when she has to potty.

I am not sure how to teach her to only ring them when she has to go potty, so that I don't have to be opening the door every five minutes. ha I have been going with her every time she goes out now so that as soon as she pottys I call her back in. I still don't think she is getting it though.

Any one have any ideas on how to teach your yorkie that the bells are not a toy, and they should only be for when she needs to potty!?
How old is she? I taught mine with the bells and she got it! She went through a spell, as a puppy, where she would ring the bells all of the time. If she wanted me to come in and play with her she would ring the bells for that, too. But all of that extra bell-ringing passed and she only rings them to go out. I think they all go through that phase of ringing them all of the time, but it will pass. Good luck.
