The need to find a treat with a higher value, I would suggest starting with a food item, and see if she will give you the toy for the treat. Try to associate the toy going into your hand with the word drop it. The goal in the end is to get her to drop the toy just by saying the words. It sounds like you are in the beginning stages and it is very important that you get a handle on it now so it does not transfer to other items. Good Luck |
