hmmm i would consult a board certified dentist as I do not think that will solve the issue like with humans just brushing rebuilds gum tissue - our dentist feels vets way over use antibiotics in profession and after my girls dental he did not even send me home with any antibiotics - he gives a shot during procedure and unless real bad he will not even send home with them. Now my maltese had loose teeth and had 27 teeth extracted it was sad
and she came home with antibiotics and narcotic for pain but my yorkie had 5 extractions and no antibiotics just tramadol for a couple days.
i would call mfg and see what they say as they have vets on staff to talk to as well
