Just got this back on Lil Lou. The reference to Mirelle and universal scanner was a comment I made to them about Avid chips being encrypted and not scannable by all scanners. Mirelle must be a supervisor who was copied with my email.
Lil Lou weighed 8 lbs and we found he did not have a microchip. We hold all dogs for 5 days to give time for owner to claim them. On day 5, they become the shelter’s property and can then be adopted to someone new. Lil Lou was adopted today. Mirielle, are our scanners universal?
