yes, consistency is key. As frustrating as it may be, you need to keep on top of potty training.
Maggie and Hot Rod have trained me very well with the bells, I ring and they come running to go out, lol. They are afraid to touch the bells.
You need to watch them like a hawk...he probably is telling you but you do not see the signs. Just last night Maggie was wanting to go out and she was acting very different than I've seen her act-not anything like her normal wanting attention because she is princess behaviour but something a little differentl and she even jumped up on daddy's lap. She then gave up and went over to the pad. I then asked if she wanted to go to daddy's garage (we have pads in there because it's been cold) and sure enough, she went poop. She is so proud when she does, she comes over to me and lets me know whenever I'm not paying attention, she is relentless, she will paw at my legs until I look at the pad...she knows she gets a treat for pottying. lol
You will need to learn their behaviour and what it is that is just so slightly different when they need/want something. Good luck and just be consistent, it will click one day! |
