Also, Liver Biopsy can be risky even on a healthy liver, risk of bleeding, infection, etc. If I remember correctly, the liver is one of the worst areas, if not the worst area to biopsy from, more danger of complications than any other biopsy procedure. You will have to weigh the benefits of info gained from the biopsy against the risks involved. And you don't have enough information to make that decision at this time, without speaking to your vet and/or the specialist.
