We go camping ( in October/November, in a tent, in the cold
) and Chloe loves it !! I was worried at first but I just made sure to keep her with me ( and warm) at all the times and she had a blast.
I bought clothing and coat ( as well as snuggling her in my coat ) , a retractable leash so she could run in the open spaces without getting out of my sight , and wipes so I could clean her feet at night . I also took booties for her to wear in the daytime since it was cold ( which she didn't really like to wear) I also recommend a puppy/dog sling type carrier for hiking. We would take Chloe with us but I would end up with her in the sling halfway thru the hike so she could rest ( That may be unnecessary depending on the size of your baby , chloe was( is) small so I didn't want to push her too much ...even though she can hang with the big dogs

As long as you keep a close eye on your furbaby it will be fine
