From what I read in your message, it sounds like you have already given up on him. If that is the case, then I think you should surrender him. It would be better for him to be in a home where he is loved than resented.

I also would ask if he is being taken for lots of walks and given the proper exercise. He is young and his exercise needs are great.

Whatever you do, good luck. Yorkies do require tons of patience and plenty of time to properly train them. Many people make the mistake of believing that because they are so small that they don't require exercise. They are terriers and while to me that is what makes them so much fun it is also what makes them more difficult to train unless you have the experience to do it as well as the patience.
