I'm always freaking out with every little thing with Piper. She has had a few problems in her first year. Drops in sugar levels when she was a baby. Always had to make sure we had the Nutri-Cal close by. When she was 8 months old she had surgery for Legg Perthes. She was outside in her pen one night and a huge raccoon ran right up to her pen and they were nose to nose. I was standing right on the deck and couldn't believe what was happening. Luckily the raccoon ran back in the woods when a crazy lady came running and screaming at it. I had a male teapot Yorkie for 13 years and totally ignorant about what could go wrong in a Yorkies life (before discovering YT). I was really lucky that I never ran across any problems. He was a spunky little thing and as brave as a lion. He would chase anything out of the yard. One day he chased a red fox into the woods and I really thought he might have met his match. A few minutes later out of the woods he comes as proud as can be that he protected our yard. Piper is timid and cautious. She would approach slowly and cautiously. If she felt threaten she would run for Mommy to pick her up.
