They can still get outside an electric fence, you have to spend time in training, and if there is a busy street nearby, the training may end too soon. There are some ways to train a dog not to run out the door, but even though you train her this, with kids running outside she will be so tempted to follow. Wouldn't it be easier to train the grandkids? I would also think of installing some sort of double door or small fenced area outside the door. I would also work on training the dog not to run outside. Learning to stay is a very important command. |
