ivermectin is not the greatest either sadly and why off label and not fda approved ;( same as revolution for scabies - all those flea meds have their issues sadly and why thank goodness i do not have to use them - I just know a few yorkies that had demodex and it worked for them and owner was happy - i would definitely discuss with dermatologist and get their input regarding the 3 different options for sure - ivermectin, interceptor daily small dose, and promeris as those are the only options that i have heard of
but please check the shampoo they give you and if it has ketoconazole in I personally would not use it --I think my friend uses the benzoyl peroxide on her dog with demodex -i will email her
