Oh, what a terrible thing to happen! Unfortunately, unless there was a witness, there is no proof that your puppy didn't climb through the fence on her own and go into the neighbor's yard. So I doubt if you could win if you filed a suit against the neighbors and you would be out the expense for an attorney. I would certainly document every time the dog growls or appears aggressive to you or your daughters though. And be careful! Make sure the fence is strong enough to contain that dog so he can't get into your yard and hurt your family. |
