Thank You. I heard that it's very painful to do (operation) & our vet recommends it only if it poses a problem. I think it's very important for breeders to have the dewclaws removed at the same time they do tail docking.
It was time for Momo's nail trim & this happened...I'll have to be more attentive to their grooming schedule. Everybody else got nail trimmings right away lol.

I'm so sorry Momo got hurt, I've read about this happening several times, and I agree with you that breeders should do this early, even those that are against tail docking should remove the dewclaws, but the trend seems to be to go natural for some. I hope we can encourage breeders to continue to remove the dewclaws.
