We've had two previous Yorkies who lived into quite old age; but our newest one, who is now 3, is the first one that will take something I've given her (treat or small bone) and whine and take it a number of places to "hide" it - I think it is so cute. Last summer she would take a treat, bury it and dig it up a few different times before eating it - whining the whole time.

I'm certain it is not a play gesture, he will try several spots and usually is only satisfied after he has found a place for it in another room. He lets off some baby soft whimpers while he's looking for a spot. Is it a way to make littermates feel sorry for him and leave him alone or something? Does somebody know?
