My first suggestion is to make sure you throughly soak the area and follow the directions on the bottle. Give the product the recommended time to work on the odour. There is a link on here to some good steam cleaners - maybe do a search on steam cleaners.

If there is some way to block this area off from your pups that would be good too. Also you can try putting your pup in a crate our xpen when you can\t be right there watching him.
