The grade chart & dog food analysis is just a guide. Just bc it doesn't get a good grade or high stars doesn't mean it's not a good food. What's important is reading the ingredients (1st 5 ingredients are what makes the bulk of the food) & knowing what works for your pet (high/low protein or no/yes grains).
For example: I feed mine Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Venison. It's grain free, limited ingredients for allergy sufferers. I chose this food bc Momo has a sensitive GI tract & doesn't do well on a high protein diet. Food grading chart gave it an A+ while dog food analysis gave it 4 stars. |
