The best suggestion I can give it to keep your puppy on a strict feeding schedule. Then you'll be able to almost set your watch by her bowel movements. I used crate training and it worked great. If I know she has to poo, I keep her on the pad. If she doesn't go, I put her back in her crate for ten minutes and then try again. Repeat this process until she goes. It can take a while, but it's worth it once they realize what you're trying to have them do. Over-the-top praising is then in order.
