For the first couple of days after whelping, my girls won't drink water on their own. I think it's mostly they don't want to get up from their babies. What works for me is to put the bowl of water under their nose and 'spoon' it into their mouth with my hand.. They won't drink on their own but, for some reason, will drink it with my hand under it. |
