My best friend Kim and I got Yorkie cousins, Lexi and Carlie together from the same breeder. The pups were 6 months old when we got them; they were perfect or so we thought. At 8 months Lexi was diagnosed after many tests with Liver Shunt. Lexi had surgery at Iowa State Vet Med school. Lexi is now 18 months old and she is doing great! Surgery was successful, she is on a restricted diet but doing fine. Kim is not a member of YT (she doesnt have a lot of time for the computer) pm and I will put you in touch with Kim and Lexi.
