I wanted to name my boy Winnie, for Winston Churchill, and Winnie means "friend." My father looked at his picture and decided Winnie wasn't strong enough. Dad dubbed him "Maximo," a.k.a. Mad Max, Maxie, and the Maxster.

Whenever Maximo has a wild day, I blame Dad.
