I'm so sorry for your loss.....I'm sure you have wonderful memorys. I agree with the 12wks, they really do need their mama's. Lola came to me at 8 weeks and she was very fragile and needy, we did start pee pee pad training right away, she did okay. However, comparing her to Leah, who I took home at 13 weeks, that 4 weeks makes a big difference. I took 1 and a half weeks of vacation time when I brought Lola home because she was like a little delicate flower who wanted to be held and kept warm. I just couldn't leave her although I'm sure she would have been okay.

My two girls will pick me over my husband any day so I think the boy girl thing is a myth. I also do the disapline, bath's, vet, etc. and they still love me more.
