i haven't used one, but am not opposed to them. i know there are members here who have.

honestly, i think vets who work at shelters etc... are some of the greatest devotees to animals....god knows they aren't getting rich off of them.

that said, i would speak with them beforehand to make sure they use the safest sedation practices for your little one. shoot...i might even get in writing exactly what they're going to use! you can find a lot of info on the subject on yt.

whether it's a clinic or a private vet, if they refuse to do as you request...or tell you it's not a big deal and not to worry about it...i would run, not walk, in the other direction.
