8 weeks old is young if your lookiing for perfection. It is a good start. I took my Lola hom at 8 weeks and we too started training. I gated the kitchen area at meal time and put down 6 pee pads (i made one giant pee pad). After she ate and was ready to to her business the chances of her using a pad was better with 6 pads. She got the idea in a few days. It's really important to watch them so you can reward them with a treat and praise atfer they use the pad, if you delay one minute they are clueless as to why your giving them a treat. Good luck~
