Come to think of it, the vet said Roxy had a bacterial infection- gave us cefoodoxine and predinosone- the itching and scratching stopped while she was on the meds about 3weeks- but shortly thereafter- the scratching resumed- that was in October- Now I'm finding little spritzes of hair everywhere and she is scratching her self silly. I had used moducare sterols and slacked up for the scratching before. I have resumed the moducaare but it takes a couple of months to really make a dif. Think I'll be taking her back to the vet asap- don't like the meds- but can't bear to watch her scratch for 2 months either. At first I though it was because she had been boarded for seven days and she was nervous or something but it's been 2 weeks now and the scratching seems to be increasing. Even with the meds- thehair never grew back though |
