That's the reason, 50% of the time, I'd say, as to why these pet stores STILL sell dogs. People with hearts go in and see a poorly bred dog, in a tiny cage & say "Oh my gosh, that poor dog" and buy it. That just gives the pet store another cage to fill up with another dog.
Really, it's your decision, but if you REALLY want to stop pet stores from selling dogs, don't buy a dog from them... Stay away from the pet store. Don't go back, then you won't be tempted. As horrible as it is for that puppy, the pet store needs to realize that selling dogs is not ok
