So I just finished reading The Lovely Bones, and I'm really upset. I'll admit it was a thrilling book, which is how I read it in three days, but I'm really pissed about the ending. **SPOILER ALERT!!** Please don't keep reading if you haven't read the book or seen the movie and you don't want to know what happens. So the entire book you're waiting for this big climactic ending, thinking that the dad is going to avenge his murdered daughter, or at the very least they'll discover her body (or bones) and lay it to rest. The ending was the worst, like the endings of the Stephen King books. With such a depressing novel, you NEED some kind of closure, and she just leaves you hanging. I mean, come one, the guy dies because some snow falls on him??!! That's not justice!! Does anyone else feel like I do? How can they make a movie about this?? He raped her and cut her up into little pieces! AARRRGGGHHHHH!!
